3,000 New Millionaire Accounts in Just Three Months

At the end of June 2024, the number of bank accounts in Bangladesh holding over 10 million BDT reached 118,784—an increase of nearly 3,000 compared to the previous quarter in March. The total deposits in the banking sector during this period amounted to 18.39 trillion BDT. These accounts belong to individuals, businesses, and various institutions, as outlined in the Scheduled Banks Statistics report by Bangladesh Bank. This growth reflects a sharp rise in the number of millionaires within just three months.
