Bangladesh is optimistic about securing an additional $3 billion in budget support from the International Monetary Fund (IMF). Finance Adviser Salehuddin Ahmed mentioned that the IMF has shown a positive outlook on approving this extra assistance. The interim government, led by Dr. Muhammad Yunus, is actively pursuing necessary reforms to qualify for this support. The goal is to increase the total loan amount to $7.7 billion, which would significantly bolster the country's economic stability during this period of transition.
