Turkey’s leading business conglomerate, KOC Holdings, has announced plans to establish a manufacturing facility in Bangladesh, aiming to export its products globally.

During a meeting at the State Guest House Jamuna in Dhaka, Fatih Kemal Ebklioglu, head of sustainability for the $60 billion company, shared this investment plan with Chief Adviser Professor Muhammad Yunus.

Fatih highlighted that after acquiring Singer Bangladesh Limited a few years ago, the company set up a home appliance manufacturing facility on 2,500 bighas of land in Narayanganj. Speaking about Bangladesh’s business potential, he stated, “We are now in the second phase of our investment, and we see great opportunities here.”

Professor Yunus welcomed further Turkish investment in Bangladesh’s manufacturing sector, emphasizing that the country is now fully prepared for business expansion. He encouraged companies to establish factories in Bangladesh, using it as a hub to export products to Europe and beyond.
