Global Giants Set to Expand in Bangladesh as Investment Interest Grows
WELL WORKThree major international companies have announced their plans to grow their businesses and invest in Bangladesh. The companies include Spanish fashion retailer Inditex, cement producer LafargeHolcim, and Chinese garment manufacturer Handa Industries.
The news was shared by Ashiq Chowdhury, Executive Chairman of the Bangladesh Investment Development Authority (BIDA), during a press briefing on the third day of a four-day investment summit in Dhaka. He also mentioned that China’s Commerce Minister is scheduled to visit Bangladesh next month, accompanied by a delegation of 200 investors, to explore new investment opportunities in the country.
