Bangladesh and South Korea are planning to sign a new economic partnership agreement (EPA) by the end of this year, according to Commerce Secretary Mahbubur Rahman. The first round of talks is set to begin in Dhaka at the end of July, with about six to seven negotiation rounds expected before the deal is finalized. Speaking at a seminar on bilateral investments at Amari Dhaka, he said the agreement will cover areas like reducing trade duties, encouraging investments, adding value through regional cooperation, and boosting trade in services. The goal is to strengthen and expand trade between the two countries.
