Bangladesh Seeks $1 Billion Support from Japan During Chief Adviser’s Visit

Bangladesh is planning to request $1 billion in budget support from Japan during Chief Adviser Muhammad Yunus’ visit later this month. Alongside this, both nations are expected to sign at least seven agreements covering areas such as energy, development, the creation of a special economic zone, and boosting investments through the Bangladesh Investment Development Authority. Bangladesh is also looking for Japan’s cooperation in sectors like shipbuilding, railway expansion, energy, and the development of the blue economy.
