Bangladesh’s Apparel Exports to the US See Strong Growth in December
WELL WORKBangladesh’s exports of ready-made garments to the US saw impressive growth in the final months of last year, particularly from September to December. In December alone, the country exported $580 million worth of apparel, marking an 18.36% increase compared to December 2023. The previous month, November, saw an even bigger jump of 41% year-on-year.
This growth signals a strong recovery for Bangladesh in the US apparel market. While overall garment exports in 2024 did not see major growth, they have returned to a positive trend. Last year, Bangladesh exported $7.34 billion worth of apparel, a slight increase of 0.75% compared to 2023.
