The Economic Partnership Agreement (EPA) and free trade agreement being discussed with Japan could significantly enhance trade between Japan and Bangladesh, according to trade advisor Sheikh Bashiruddin. He stated that the deal promises new avenues for Bangladesh’s economic growth. These comments came during a recent meeting at the advisor’s office with Japanese Ambassador to Bangladesh, Iwama Kiminori, and Mohang Salim Uddin, Secretary of the Ministry of Commerce.
At the meeting, they covered topics like the potential impact of the free trade agreement, strategies for the economic partnership agreement, and the overall business landscape between the two countries.
