From Garage to Field: How Ankur Transformed Farming for Shahadat Hossain

Shahadat Hossain, a farmer in Gaibandha, often struggled with soil preparation, weather, crop choices, and high-interest loans. In 2023, a local NGO introduced him to Ankur, a startup offering digital agricultural advice and consulting. Ankur tested his soil and recommended the best corn variety, calculated the total cost of seeds and fertilizers, and provided detailed guidance via text in Bengali. Using AI, the startup also sends weather forecasts and helps farmers find low-interest agricultural loans. With Ankur’s support, Shahadat and many other farmers can now make farming easier, more informed, and more profitable.
