The United States has committed $202.25 million in aid to Bangladesh, aimed at improving governance, social welfare, humanitarian efforts, and economic development. The agreement was signed on Sunday (September 15) at the Rashtriya Guest House Padma between Bangladesh's Economic Relations Division and the United States Agency for International Development (USAID). This funding is part of the Sixth Amendment to the 'Development Objective Grant Agreement (DOAG)'. AKM Shahabuddin, Additional Secretary of the Economic Relations Division, and Reid J. Eshliman, USAID Mission Director, represented their respective countries during the signing ceremony.
